Easy Home Improvement Projects During Quarantine

Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic began and many states and countries issued shelter-in-place advisories, most people are spending a lot more time at home these days.  With all this extra time at home, there’s been a big focus on DIY home improvement projects and sprucing up things around the house.  After all, if you’re spending the majority of your time at home, you want to make it as comfortable and inviting as possible.  Sprucing things up at home can mean a number of things-- from rearranging furniture to planting a garden to painting your walls a different color, just to name a few.

Here are some of our favorite easy ways to spruce things up around the house while we’re staying home.

#1  A Fresh Coat of Paint

One easy way to make a big difference in the appearance of your home is painting a new color on the walls.  You can paint a whole room, an accent wall for a bold splash of color, or even painting your front door a new color can freshen up the look of your home and bring a smile to your face.

#2  Install a New Backsplash or Hardware in Your Kitchen or Bathrooms

Instead of renovating your entire kitchen or bathroom, you can easily transform your space by putting in new backsplash tiles.  Another small change that makes a big impact is installing new cabinet pulls and hardware in your kitchen or bathroom.  You’d be surprised how much small changes like these can draw your eye and make a big change to your space.

#3  Hang Some Wall Art

One of our favorite ways to spruce up a room is to hang a beautiful piece of wall art.  Wall art is something that can bring an entire room together.  Make sure to choose the right size of wall art for your space, and pick colors that work with your theme.  You can browse our metal wall art available in a variety of colors and sizes here.

#4  Add Potted Plants

Potted plants are a great way to introduce more color and life to spruce up your home.  Even if you don’t have a green thumb, succulents are easy to care for and they come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes to suit your space.  Not only do plants look good, they also help to clean and purify the air.

#5  Accent Sculptures & Freestanding Sculptures

If you have an area in your home that seems empty, adding a sculpture is an easy fix for any blank space you might have in your home.  Whether it’s an empty countertop or coffee table, or a corner in your living room or garden that needs a finishing touch, we have small accent sculptures and large freestanding sculptures that you can display indoors or outdoors.  Take a look at our sculpture collection here.

# 6 Outdoor Projects

It happens to be the best time of year to spruce up your yard or patio and enjoy the great outdoors.  Many people are turning to DIY outdoor projects such as gardening and landscaping, updating outdoor seating cushions, re-painting your fence, installing a backyard bar or picnic area-- the options are endless.  Choose a style or theme that you want for your outdoor space and go with it.
