Manatee Lagoon: An FPL Eco-Discovery Center
We took a trip to Manatee Lagoon, FPL's gorgeous 16,000 square foot facility located across from Peanut Island. Manatee Lagoon is stunning! We're looking forward to debuting a 9' custom art piece featuring several manatees in their natural habitat (more on that later!)

There are two stories and both boast beautiful views. You'll find an incredible space upstairs you can rent for meetings and other special events.

Downstairs, you'll encounter hands-on science themed exhibits and lots of great information about Manatees.

This is a fantastic place to take the whole family! Lectures and activities like Yoga are held regularly.

Admission and parking are free. Outside, there are chairs to kick back and enjoy the view. The manatee viewing area is designed so visitors of all ages can see all of the action firsthand.

During out visit, we got to see some award winning art from other Palm Beach county residents. Additionally, Artful Learning, a free art class for children 5-12, was also in full swing! The instructor gave the pint-sized Picassos great direction and the kids made wonderful, ocean-themed paintings. The artists had wonderful seats near large windows where they could see the water outside for inspiration. There wasn't even one open seat in this popular class so sign up well in advance for your Artful Learning experience here.

Check out www.visitmanateelagoon.com to plan your visit. Jon will have some very special one of a kind artwork on display soon and will keep you posted as to how and when you can see it.
